‘Self-Portrait of a Rectangle’ is questioning an inner world of material, form and shape. The voices of the rectangle R, correspond to an unspecified multitude. In many places reacting to each other, in other places apparently shut away, the different voices of “R” build an own multitude. The individual abrasion (as well as the loss) that comes with the sending of the 87 copies from London to Vienna via mail, is part of the portrait. Together, they have the same premises but after being sent, they arrive and look differently.
